Evolution-X Electric Cigarette Starter Kit User's Guide

The instructions that come with your Evolution-X Electric Cigarette Starter Kit are, to say the least, not very good. Hopefully, this brief outline for using your Evolution-X starter kit will be easier to understand.

Charging the Batteries of Your Evolution-X Electric Cigarette

Although many people believe that a brand new electric cigarette battery should be completely charged before it is used for the first time, this is not based upon any known sound electronic theory as it relates to lithium ion batteries. We always recommend charging a completely drained battery, whether it is the battery's first charge or subsequent charges; therefore, we recommend using all electric cigarette batteries right out of the box. Keep in mind, however, that the factory frequently only puts a minimum charge in the batteries to test them before shipping and that the vapor from an electric cigarette battery that is not fully charged may not be optimal. A fully charged electric cigarette battery will always supply better current and will produce better vapor than a battery that is not fully charged. To charge your Evolution-X electric cigarette batteries:

1. Attach the USB charger's cord to the USB port in the AC wall plug. You can skip this step and simply plug the USB charger into an available USB port on your computer or any other place you have a powered USB port. Keep in mind, however, that charging times are definitely longer when charging from a USB port than from an AC wall outlet.
2. Plug the AC wall plug into a working AC outlet (the light on your USB charging cord should turn green and the light on the AC wall plug should turn red).
3. Screw the threaded side of your Evolution-X battery (the longest and largest in diameter piece in your Evolution-X Electric Cigarette Starter Kit) into the hole of the USB charging cord. Please do not screw it in too tightly (this could damage the charging unit and/or battery). The button of your Evolution-X battery should flash a few times and the LED on the USB charging cord should turn red.
4. If this is the first time you are charging this battery, leave it on the charger for at least 8 hours. Subsequent charges should be at least three to four hours.

NOTE: The first time you charge a battery, the LED indicator on the USB charging cord will turn green long before the battery is fully charged. Ignore the light and leave each battery on the charger for a minimum of 8 hours. After that initial charge, the LED indicator is usually fairly reliable at notifying you when a battery is fully charged for regular between use charges.

Assembling Your Evolution-X Electric Cigarette

There are two types of Evolution-X electric cigarettes - Standard Evolution-X e cigarettes and Mega Evolution-X e cigarettes. A Standard Evolution-X uses the smaller Joye 510 atomizers and round tipped cartridges and has a separate cone cover. A Mega Evolution-X has the atomizer built into the atomizer and has larger capacity, flat tipped cartridges. The assembly instructions are slightly different for each model:

Standard Evolution-X Electric Cigarette:

1. Screw the battery (the longest and largest in diameter piece in your Evolution-X Electric Cigarette Starter Kit) onto the atomizer (the only small piece in your kit that will screw into the inner threads of the battery). Just screw the two pieces together to the point that the atomizer comes to a stop. Do not screw the two pieces together too tightly; this could damage the post inside of the battery.
2. Unwrap one of the five pre-filled cartridges from it's plastic packaging, remove the protective cap and push the end where the plastic cap was onto the atomizer (the open end that is not screwed onto the battery).
3. Slip the Evolution-X cone cover over the cartridge, big side first, down toward the battery and screw it onto the outer threads of the battery. The cone cover is just a decorative piece and is not necessary for your Evolution-X electric cigarette to function. It simply makes it look better, tapering the wider battery down to the smaller cartridge.
4. Your Evolution-X is now assembled and ready for use

Mega Evolution-X Electric Cigarette:

1. Screw the battery (the longest and largest in diameter piece in your Evolution-X Electric Cigarette Starter Kit) onto the cone shaped atomizer. Just screw the two pieces together to the point that the atomizer comes to a stop. Do not screw the two pieces together too tightly; this could damage the post inside of the battery.
2. Unwrap one of the five pre-filled cartridges from it's plastic packaging, remove the protective cap and push the end where the plastic cap was onto the atomizer (the open, smaller end that is not screwed onto the battery).
3. Your Evolution-X is now assembled and ready for use.

Using Your Evolution-X Electric Cigarette

All of our Evolution-X electric cigarette starter kits come with manual push button batteries. The battery activates and powers the atomizer, generating heat to vaporize the liquid in the cartridge. As long as you hold the button down, vapor will be created. Although it is impossible to use a manual button electric cigarette hands free, manual battery electric cigs are much easier for brand new users of e cigarettes to get the hang of.

Everyone smokes regular cigarettes differently and the same is true of electric cigarettes. What may work for one person does not work as well for another. The method that we have found that works the best for the majority of people is to draw as lightly as you can on your Evolution-X electric cigarette while you are holding down the button. This allows the airflow to slowly move from the atomizer to the liquid in the cartridge and gives it time to vaporize. Drawing really hard on an e cigarette is counter productive; the air rushes past the e juice so quickly, that it does not have time to heat it. Soon, you will become accustomed to the proper amount of suction (for lack of a better term) that works best for you.

Filling Your Evolution-X Electric Cigarette Cartridges with E Juice

E Juice is an essential component in creating vapor. When a cartridge dries out, it puts out little to no vapor and every drag begins to taste like you are "smoking" a sock. If you did not purchase a bottle of e liquid with your Evolution-X Electric Cigarette Starter Kit, you will go through the cartridges that come supplied with the kit very quickly. You can purchase e cig juice here!

If you planned ahead and purchased a bottle of e juice, you can "top off" a cartridge you are using or you can fill a completely unfilled cartridge. This is, by far, the most cost effective way of vaping and also the way that gives users complete control of the flavor and vapor output of their Evolution-X electric cigarette.

• Topping Off Your Evolution-X Electric Cigarette Cartridge: Topping off a previously filled Evolution-X electric cigarette cartridge is easy. Remove the cartridge from the atomizer and look down at the gauzy filler material from the side that was connected to the atomizer (the big hole side). Simply add one drop at a time until it looks like a "slushy." When adding drops, remember:
  
  
• If it still looks like a piece of gauze, it needs at least one more drop.
• If it looks like a small pond, there is one drop too many (not a big deal).
• If it looks like a "slushy," it is perfectly filled.
  
  
• Filling a Brand New Unfilled Evolution-X Electric Cigarette Cartridge: You can use the same method described above for filling a brand new Evolution-X electric cigarette cartridge. Unfortunately, it takes awhile for the e-liquid to travel all the way to the bottom of a completely dry cartridge and you may get a few "false slushies" while the air bubbles work their way out and the liquid makes its way all the way to the mouthpiece side of your electric cigarette. The best way to fill a brand new Evolution-X electric cigarette cartridge is to use a paper clip or pair of tweezers and remove the gauzy filler from the cartridge. Then, fill the empty plastic tube about 3/4 of the way and gently push the gauze back down into the cartridge tube on top of the e juice you just put into it. You can then top off the cartridge, adding one drop at a time until it looks like a "slushy." If you were a bit overzealous and put too much liquid in, you can mop up any excess liquid that might ooze out with a paper towel.
